Eeyore

“I wouldn’t consider myself the luckiest person in the world but as far as cat mom’s go, I think I won the lottery. I adopted Eeyore back in February and he has brought so much joy to my life. He was such a shy guy when he first came home, and now he owns the house. He loves to run between rooms, chase his tail, and chirp at the birds. The thing I love most about him is the way he snuggles up to me when he senses I’ve had a rough day. I know he’s just as happy to have me because he brought me his first kill the other day, super gross but the perfect sign of affection. I am truly lucky to have come across From Feral to Family when I did. The process to adopt Eeyore was easy and the communication is open following his first vet visit. I am so appreciative for From Feral to Family for all of the hard work that they do to take care of and find homes for these cats!”

Lilith

Her adopter writes, “It hasn't taken long for Lilith to make herself at home here in CT. Within the first few days, she was comfortable enough to fall asleep on my lap--belly up! Although she's not surrounded by kittens anymore, Lilith creates her own fun by chasing her springs and diving through her nylon tunnel--no need for any of her other many, many toys. When she's not playing, Lilith likes to sleep under my desk and has made a great nap buddy. She always has something to say and even comes running when you call her name. You never quite know what you're getting with a kitten, especially one that was feral, but so far Lilith has been a great fit. She loves watching the neighborhood birds from our spot on the 6th floor and is endlessly fascinated by city noises, all of which she thinks come from the hallway, not outside. I'm grateful to From Feral to Family for the work they do, and I'm excited to see how Lilith's personality develops as she gets older!”

Onyx & Obsidian (formerly Skeeter and Trigger)

Their adopter writes, “I consider myself lucky for stumbling upon From Feral to Family. I am able to provide a loving home to what otherwise would have been feral kitties. These beautiful boys may be timid, but with patient care, they are becoming part of our family.”

Elizabeth

Her adopter writes: “It was great working with feral to family. They clearly know and care deeply for their cats and they were able to help match me with a cat to fit what I was looking for. Excellent experience! Would recommend.”

FlufferNutter

His adopter writes, “I knew I was missing an animal in my life. I always wished to have a bigger cat, that was long haired. When I first walked into the cat room, FlufferNutter didn’t make an appearance right away so I was falling in love with all the other cats. Then all of a sudden he came out and I was in awe. I finally found the cat I’ve always wanted. After that I wasn’t sure if I was going to be allowed to have him because we already had 3 cats. I decided to call my mom and beg for him right away though. After a few hours she finally told me I could bring him home, and ever since I brought him home he’s been my best friend.”

Winnie

Her adopter writes, “I first met Winnie when she was only a few weeks old, and being introduced to the cat colony room for the first time. Winnie was excited to meet some cats for care and companionship after being bottle-fed by From Feral to Family, and the socialized feral cats stepped up to the plate! The older cats instantly began sniffing and grooming her, and the teenagers started teaching her how to play. Because of Winnie’s kittenhood spent with cats of multiple ages and socialized by From Feral to Family, she is a sweet, friendly, playful gal. She’s pretty much perfect!”

Ana & Elsa (Formerly Roxy & Berry)

In April 2021, I was the first adoptee of a full-grown cat from the non-profit From Feral To Family in Addison, Vermont. Caitlin and her daughter, Bella, brought the cat to my house with a carrier, food, blanket and an array of toys. They made time to help me settle in Sienna finding the best space for her to adapt to my home. She was a feral cat having been rescued recently from a barn by Caitlin and Bella. I have two dogs on the premises, so it was important to have her separated from them initially. It was evident that after a week Sienna was not going to adapt or bond with me in any circumstance with the dogs around. What was so impressive during the week’s integration process was From Feral To Family crew’s unconditional support trying to help Sienna and me make this adoption work. Caitlin and Bella went out of their way having the investment and the professionalism of knowing Sienna’s needs, feline temperament and the various interventions/tricks needed for a successful adoption. In the end, we all agreed Sienna, being an older cat with no experience being around dogs, would not be happy in my home. Caitlin offered an alternative – a kitten that could grow up with my dogs. She had rescued a litter, which had similar markings of Sienna and the cat I loved for years that had recently passed away. I adopted two sisters and love them so much. They are healthy, happy, and their best friend is my little dog, Commodore. A worthy note about the extent From Feral To Family will go for their rescues is when I had to go to an unexpected funeral out of state for several days Caitlin and Bella took my kittens back and cared for them, sending me photos every day. Both kittens were brought to me for adoption having had the full services of a veterinarian. Caitlin contacted me regularly for at least two weeks to check up if I needed any assistance settling in the kittens - Bella even helped me decide on their names. All and all, I wholeheartedly recommend From Feral To Family Corp.

Kio

Her adopters write, “From Feral to Family is a hidden gem in the beautiful western Vermont countryside! We stumbled upon this group when we looked for a cat online to add to our family. We reached out to Caitlin and asked her many questions; she was so patient and kind to us while we decided which cat we wanted. Caitlin had great insight and eventually recommended which cat would best match our personalities. She is very knowledgeable about cat care and truly cares for her cats; Caitlin is dedicated to finding the best homes for her furry extended family.

When we finally got Kio (our wonderful kitty) home, we continued to reach out to Caitlin for advice, and she helped us so much during the first month of being new cat parents. Her advice and knowledge have helped us become confident cat parents!

From Feral to Family is the perfect place for anyone who wants to find a furry companion, and as a dedicated nonprofit for feral cats, we can’t recommend them enough. We now tell our friends and family about them and ask that anyone who can send support to their operation do so. From Feral to Family is a small operation with big responsibilities and an even bigger heart.”

Bambi & Roger

Their adopter writes: “My family and I adopted Bambi and Roger back in October 2021. We had planned on adopting Bambi, but when Caitlin told me Roger, his brother, also needed a home I knew we had to keep them together. The adoption process was so simple. The boys came with shots and they were both neutered which is HUGE! The day we brought them home was AMAZING. They both warmed up to my 2 year old daughter so quickly, and they sneaked their way into my husbands heart without him even knowing! They are both so sweet. My daughter has learned how to handle animals with these two, who are so gentle with her. We have had these boys for almost 5 months and we couldn’t imagine our lives without them! Thank you From Feral to Family!”

Eevee (Formerly Tansy)

Caitlin and Bella run an amazing rescue! The amount of love, time, and dedication they put into each and every one of the cats within their facility is immense. Since adopting Eevee, my life has been full of constant kitty snuggles. She loves to go for rides on your back and be carried around like a baby. She fits into the rest of furry family so well. I highly recommend From Feral to Family if you’re looking for a highly educated and loving rescue to adopt from!
