🐉 Bravo — From Fire-Breathing Goblin to Gentle Guardian

Bravo survived a hoarding situation and ended up at our local shelter — but no one could get near him. When he first arrived to us, he was a full-on dragon: growling, hissing, spitting… a ferocious little lion in survival mode.

But with time, patience, and kindness, Bravo changed.

Now he’s the first to greet us in the cat room.
He adores being pet, even tolerates being picked up, and has become the sweetest, proudest gentleman.

Bravo did try a foster home once, but he was overwhelmed and hid the whole time — so we’re looking for a family who understands that healing isn’t always linear. He will love you — he just needs someone willing to earn that love.

Roo — Shy Street Lord Turned Professional Lounger

Found roaming in Ferrisburgh, Roo was scared and alone until a kind neighbor contacted us. He was shy at first, but once he discovered how good chin scratches are, he bloomed.

Now Roo is a big softie who LOVES treats and pets—sometimes a little too enthusiastically! He just needs an experienced cat lover who understands that some cats speak with their paws.

Lucky the Chatty Lovebug 🍀

Lucky came to us through TNR when a kind woman — who was leaving for the winter — worried no one would be there to feed her. Not only did she make sure Lucky was spayed and vaccinated, she brought her to us so she could learn what it means to be loved.

It didn’t take long.

Lucky quickly realized humans = pets and snacks, and now she’s fully convinced this is the best life ever.

She’s vocal, bold, and absolutely determined to be the center of attention. If someone else is getting pets? She’ll nudge them right out of the way. She’ll chirp, zoom around your legs, and demand snuggles — occasionally getting so excited she grabs hands like, “More, human! Don’t stop!”

Lucky is ready to be someone’s best chatty, slightly pushy, totally adorable friend.

Tracy the Watchful Queen 👑

Tracy was trapped near the Addison Four Corners — and surprised us with a secret… she was pregnant! She gave birth to a beautiful litter we called the Fairy Tale Kittens, all of whom went on to find homes through Homeward Bound.

Tracy stayed behind — not because she isn’t loving, but because she loves on her own terms.

She likes to be nearby, watching her people like a quiet guardian. She purrs when spoken to, eagerly awaits treats, and enjoys playtime — but she’ll still swat away any hand that tries to pet her without permission.

She may never be a lap cat, or she may blossom one day with the right patient human. Either way, she deserves a home that respects her boundaries.

Tender Toby 🌲

Toby came to us from the Addison Four Corners area. He’s still wary of new people, but with his trusted foster, he’s started to show his softer side — literally and emotionally.

He spends most of his time curled up in the safety of a cat tree cubby, but when he feels secure, he will come out to ask for gentle pets. His fur is incredibly soft, and so is his heart — he’s just still learning that humans can be safe.

Toby isn’t a cat you pick up and cuddle right away. He’s a cat you earn.

He will need a calm, patient home that gives him time to decompress and settle in before expecting affection. But for the right person? Toby will become a deeply loyal, quiet companion.

Cinderella the Cautious Dreamer ✨

Cinderella came to us through an Addison TNR rescue. Her caretaker believed she had the potential to thrive in our program — and they were right.

Her progress has been slow, but every tiny step counts.

She’s still very nervous around people, but when fresh food and water arrive, she’ll quietly leave her hiding spot to investigate. She’ll come close enough to sniff our hands… but she isn’t ready yet for touch.

We believe that once she overcomes her fear and realizes she is truly safe, she’ll transform into a deeply devoted companion.

She just needs her glass slipper moment — a patient, gentle person who can see past her nerves and offer her the love she’s still learning how to accept.

Belle of the Quiet Life 🌙

Belle came to us from an overcrowded situation where someone was doing their best to help feral cats, but simply had too many to care for.

She’s not bold or flashy — Belle prefers the calm comforts of indoor life: soft beds, quiet corners, and peace. When new people enter the room, she’ll slip away to hide, but she always returns once things settle down.

We’re not sure if Belle will ever want physical contact — and that’s okay. She may never be a lap cat, but she does appreciate the safety, warmth, and gentle routine of being cared for.

Belle would do best in a calm, low-traffic home with someone who values companionship in its quietest form.
